More Things In Heaven and Earth:
Poets & Astronomers Read the Night Sky
by David Levy
For his seventeenth book, astronomer David Levy had the idea of reading about astronomical events in literature and then going back in the astronomical records to see what was actually happening in the night sky when Frost, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Shakespeare and others wrote about the stars.
You may recognize David Levy as Science Editor of Parade Magazine. A writer friend recommended me as copyeditor for David's 17th book, published by Wombat Press. At the time, David was living in Arizona, I in Texas, and the publisher was located in Canada. Our entire collaboration took place electronically and via regular mail, and it went very smoothly. David is a fine writer with a keen scientific mind. I really enjoyed working with him.
“Jan Williams’s copyediting [of my book] was superb; it sharpened the prose and the flow.”
